After being bitten by the possum the women who got infested by the skin infection later develop the wounds in the lymph gland. According to the medical experts that rare skin infection is caused by strain of bacterium that is known as Francisellatularensis. That infection was never diagnosed earlier.Possum’s saliva does not carry any kind of fatal disease that can be more hazardous. Because of having the sharp teeth’s the possum bite can be deep which need to be more cared on the other hand the scratches someone got from possum cannot be more harmful. Possum bite have the same symptoms like other Florida animals bite like redness around the area in some cases pus can be also formed around the wound.

Whenever one should get a bite from a Volusia County possum first aid should be considered immediately, in the first aid was it with soap and water also use some antiseptic like Dettol which is easily available in anyone’s home. The bacteria’s that cause the infection when come in contact with the environment that is suitable for them can be become more dangerous.
